Pak-China exhibition starts at RAC



Pakistan is a beautiful country and the friendship between the two countries is time-tested, said Cultural Counsellor Embassy of People’s Republic of China Yang Linhai.

Addressing the launching ceremony of the Pakistan-China Exhibition at the Rawalpindi Arts Council here on Tuesday, he said that the show will give the visitors a chance to witness the tremendous development in China. The Chinese events and infrastructure have been beautifully captured by the camera lens.

The cultural counsellor said that he had been to Pakistan in his childhood and saw Rawalpindi then. He was very happy to come back here and witness the love the Pakistani people have given to him. He said that the embassy would be more than willing to support any cultural activity held in the city.

He announced that the number of scholarships for Pakistani students has been increased from 72 to 500, which is very encouraging for Pakistani students.

The photographs focused on the overall development of China, specifically in the city of Beijing where tremendous progress could be witnessed in the old and new city. The bridges, major roads, highways, transport, rail, fighter jets — all can be seen in the photographs that speak volumes about the city that has developed manifold.

The photographs of Chinese delegation meeting Pakistani premiers in present and former governments were also included in the exhibition. The photographs of Chinese cultural shows were appreciated by the visitors.

Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Zahid Saeed, while speaking on the occasion, said that China has always been a time-tested friend of Pakistan. He said that he has not been to China but through these photographs he could know a lot about it. In a competitive world, China has captured the world market through its products.
