Pakistan invites Chinese investors to come forward

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has said that there are close friendly relations between Pakistan and China and that with the passage of time those ties will be further strengthened. This he stated while holding meeting with a seven-member delegation of Chinese Shaann Torch Investment Company Limited at the CM House.

He invited the Chinese investors to come forward and participate through investment in Thar coal development, provision of infrastructure for flood affected areas, and health and agriculture sectors.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that there is vast scope for investment in energy sector, particularly in coal, gas, solar energy and wind energy. Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh for Investment, Zubair Motiwala informed the meeting that there is huge quantity of coal in Thar area, and there is opportunity to have investment for production of gas and generation power from coal.

Motiwala also informed the Chinese team to make investment in Zulfiqarabad which is being development on modern lines. He also invited them to come forward and develop a modern tourist resort at Keenghar Lake. The Advisor for Investment also stressed upon Chinese team to coordinate through Sindh Board of Investment for Livestock, Fisheries and other sectors also.
