Pak-China cooperation in mass media reflects strong bonds of friendship: President CRI

President China Radio International (CRI) Wang Gengnian said Tuesday that cooperation in the field of mass media of Pakistan and China reflects the strengthening of bonds of friendship between the two countries.He expressed these views while holding meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khan here.He pointed out that CRI’s Urdu and English FM broadcast in Pakistan which as been started in five cities of Pakistan since January is gaining wide popularity.

He said this year is being marked as the year of friendship between Pakistan and China. To get insight into Pakistan’s rich culture and civilization, CRI, he said, would lead a Chinese media delegation to Pakistan later this year.

He expressed the confidence that further exchange of delegations and cooperation between the media outlets of Pakistan and China would strengthen the friendship between the two countries.

Ambassador Masood Khan said that China has made great progress in the last three decades and has now become the second biggest economy in the world.

He further said CRI has taken many important steps in the international arena in the past few years and Pakistan is determined to fully cooperate with CRI in this regard.

He said Pakistan-China friendship has been strengthened by the effective role played by the mass media in both the countries. He particularly commended the efforts of PBC and CRI in this regard.
