CM lauds China’s role in progress

 

 

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said Pak-China friendship is based on mutual respect and trust, and has stood the test of time, and the friendship is an example for the rest of the world.

“China is a sincere friend of Pakistan, and has played an important role in its progress. China has helped Pakistan in natural calamities and other testing times,” he said, while addressing a function with regard to 60 years of Pak-China diplomatic relations at CM’s Secretariat here on Monday. Ambassador of China in Pakistan Liu Jian, Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Provincial Ministers, Advisors, Members of National and Provincial Assemblies, intellectuals, columnists, senior government officials and people from various walks of life were present on the occasion.

The CM said China had played a key role in the promotion of economic activities in Pakistan and development of various sectors. “Every Pakistani government has sought the advice of Chinese leadership on important issues and China has guided in the right direction.

Liu Jian said Pakistan and China had exemplary relations and their friendship was loftier than Himalayas and deeper than oceans. Lauding CM’s efforts, he said the project of Daanish Schools was a revolutionary step. He also gave a cheque of Rs 3 lakh to the CM as a token for provision of computers to the Schools.

Earlier, Chinese Ambassador held a meeting with the CM and discussed matters of mutual interest.

He also expressed his best wishes for the early recovery of Nawaz Sharif. Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman and MNA Hanif Abbasi many others were also present.
