China considers inviting Pakistan junior cricket team to China next year

China Cricket Association (CCA) is considering, inviting Pakistan juniors to China next year, Chinese Chief Coach and former Pakistan test pacer Rashid Khan said on Monday. “As CCA got the possession of cricket stadium in Guangzhou it can now  stage matches of international level”, Rashid Khan, who is due to return to China in next few days after month long vacation said at National Stadium where he can watch T20 Cup matches.

“After going back to China I will discuss the tour with CCA officials and workout plan for extending an invitation to Pakistan Cricket Board to send the junior team. As Chinese cricket standard was coming up we can invite big team,” he pointed out.
He said cricket stadium in Guangzhou which staged the matches of last  years Asian Games was in top shape and is now being utilized to promote the cricketing activities.
He said CCA is very keen to involve Pakistan in their cricket and Pakistan junior may be extended invitation to play in China.
Rashid Khan, who represented Pakistan in 1983 World Cup in England, said  game of cricket was steadily growing in China.
At present we got pool of players in range of 150-175 and that was increasing, he said.
He said seven Chinese players, who were here in Pakistan last year for a  couple of month training tours are improving.
